Introducing StartupLAB: A Program to Boost the Startup Ecosystem in Lithuania’s Regions

The program consists of three key phases:

  • SparkUP – Entrepreneurship awareness events
  • IdeaLAB – Idea refinement hackathons
  • StartupLAB – The main phase, focusing on startup incubation and pre-acceleration

The program will be implemented in stages. The first phase, SparkUP, will feature informational events aimed at educating participants and attracting them to hackathons—short, intensive events designed to explore the nuances of innovative business, develop product ideas, and address existing challenges.

The second phase, IdeaLAB, will bring hackathons to five cities—Utena, Anykščiai, Panevėžys, Druskininkai, and Alytus—where the most innovative ideas will be selected for further incubation and pre-acceleration.

The final phase, StartupLAB, will provide selected teams with the space and resources they need to develop their ideas, preparing them for a successful market entry.

Spanning 2024 and 2025, the program will cover more than 10 cities, including Druskininkai, Marijampolė, Alytus, Utena, Anykščiai, Varėna, Kupiškis, Rokiškis, Zarasai, Molėtai, and others, fostering engagement and collaboration across diverse regions.

The goal of StartupLAB is not only to promote entrepreneurship and innovation in Lithuania but also to help create a sustainable and competitive startup ecosystem where new ideas can grow and thrive. Sunrise Tech Park invites entrepreneurs and creators to join this initiative and shape the future of Lithuanian business together.

The project is co-financed by the European Union and Sunrise Tech Park and will run until February 2027.
